Summary:
Seamstress Alterations person with minimum 3 years of commercial experiences responsible for completing finishing alterations on garments & emblem attachment. Need to be skilled in sewing and have knowledge of fabrics. Ability to follow safety procedures and work both independently and as part of a team. This is a full time M-F position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Measuring and cutting fabric according to patterns and specifications.
• Fitting and altering garments to ensure a proper fit for the customer.
• Repairing and mending damaged clothing or textiles.
• Working with a variety of fabrics.
• Following detailed instructions to complete garment customizations.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Adhering to safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries.
Qualifications :
• Technical training in commercial sewing, tailoring, or a related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience in sewing and garment alterations.
• Proficiency in the use of sewing machines, sergers, and hand sewing techniques.
• Attention to detail and a strong eye for quality.
• Knowledge of fabric types, textures, and properties.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work with hand tools, such as scissors and measuring tapes.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in the sewing industry.
Compensation:
• $16 – $19Hr DOE
